In this study, commissioned by the County Administrative Board of Västerbotten, we conducted an eDNA survey of the invasive fish species round goby. A total of six stations were sampled on three occasions in June, July, and August 2023. As expected, the species was not detected in any of the samples. The study can be used as an initial step in a monitoring program to track the spread of the species in the county, enabling prompt measures to be taken in case of signs of establishment.
